Add an OnBalance transaction to match with a bank transaction

In the Match screen, OnBalance can find one or more OnBalance transactions that can be matched with one bank transaction.

  • When OnBalance doesn’t find any transaction to be matched, it displays the Add Transaction link on the right side of the screen.
  • When OnBalance finds one or more OnBalance transactions but none of them are the one you are looking for, you can click More to select Add Transaction from the drop-down list.

When you click the Add Transaction link, a window opens allowing you to enter the required information to create a new OnBalance document. 

  • If the bank transaction is a debit, you can add either a paid bill or a transfer.
  • If the bank transaction is a credit, you can add either a deposit or a transfer.

You can't add a sale in OnBalance through this process.

To add the document representing the bank transaction, follow these steps.

  1. Choose the correct option at the top of the screen.
  2. Enter the required information.
  3. Click Save.

OnBalance will create the selected document, match the OnBalance transaction with the bank transaction, and remove it from the Match list since it has now been matched.

The availability of some or all of these features depends on your version of OnBalance.
