Search for OnBalance transactions to match with a bank transaction

In the Match screen, OnBalance can find one or more OnBalance transactions that can be matched with one bank transaction.

  • When OnBalance doesn’t find any transaction to be matched, it displays the Search OnBalance link at the right side of the screen.
  • When OnBalance finds one or more OnBalance transactions but none of them are the right one you are looking for to be matched, you can click More to access the Search OnBalance link in the drop-down list.

When you click the Search OnBalance link, OnBalancewill open a window listing all non-matched OnBalance transactions. The entries in this list will depend on whether the bank transaction is a debit or a credit.

If the bank transaction is a debit, OnBalance will list the following information.

  • All open bills installments.
  • All bill payments where the bank account was chosen as source – considering you already applied the payment manually.
  • All transfers where the bank account was chosen as source.

If the bank transaction is a credit, OnBalance will list:

  • All open sales installments.
  • All sales payments where the bank account was chosen as destination – considering you already applied the payment manually.
  • All deposits where the bank account was chosen as destination.
  • All Transfers where the bank account was chosen as destination.

Notes

  • You can use the filters at the top of the window to more easily find the right OnBalance transactions.
  • You can select more than one OnBalance transaction to be matched with the single bank transactions.

Once you close the window, all selected transactions will be listed next to the bank transaction in question.

  • If you click Cancel, the selected OnBalance transactions will be deleted. You can search for another transaction or ask to create a new document in OnBalance.
  • If you click Match, the solution will proceed with matching the selected transactions.

The availability of some or all of these features depends on your version of OnBalance.
