Add products

You can add information about your products to OnBalance so that you can apply that information when you add sales.

Notes

  • The product name cannot match a previously existing product; the name must be unique.
  • Price and unit of measure are not required.
  • You can manually add or change a price whenever you enter a new sale. Prices you enter while adding a new sale are a one-time override and do not change prices you have set up in the Products & Services screen.
  • If you do not enter the initial quantity or the initial cost when you add the product in OnBalance, you can enter that information through an inventory adjustment.
  1. From the company setup menu, choose Products & Services.

    Note: The name of this screen varies according to what your company manages in OnBalance. If you manage only products, this screen name is Products; if you manage only services, the screen name is Services; and if you manage both, the screen name is Products & Services.

  2. Select New Product.
  3. In the New Product / Service dialog, click Product.
  4. Enter the required information.

  5. Click Save.

The availability of some or all of these features depends on your version of OnBalance.
