Make customers inactive

If you no longer provide services for a customer, you can make the customer inactive instead of deleting them.

  1. In the Customers screen, click a customer record.
  2. Click  Edit.
  3. Mark the Make customer inactive checkbox.
  4. Click Save.

Notes

  • When you make a customer inactive, that customer will no longer appear in the list of customers in the Customers screen by default. Also, the inactive customer will not appear in the Customer field in the New Sale screen.
  • To view inactive customers, mark the Include Inactive checkbox in the Customers screen. Inactive customers appear in italicized text in the list.
  • To reactivate the customer, click the customer record in the Customers screen, click  Edit, clear the  Make customer inactive checkbox, and click Save.
