Make a user inactive
An inactive user can no longer access your company’s data
You may want to inactivate a user when you cannot delete the user but you no longer want them to access your company’s data.
Note: Once an OnBalance user has created a login, you cannot delete the user; you can only inactivate them.
- From the company setup menu, choose Users.
- In the Users screen, click the user you want to inactivate.
- In the Edit User screen, mark the Make the User Inactive checkbox.
- Click Save.
Notes
- When you inactivate a user, the user will still appear in the Users screen. Their status changes to Inactive, and the user’s name appears in italicized text in the list.
- To reactivate a user, open the Edit User screen, clear the Make the User Inactive checkbox, and click Save.
- If you are using OnBalance Express, you will not be able to reactivate a user if you already have two active users, which is the maximum number allowed.
The availability of some or all of these features depends on your version of OnBalance.
