How to validate your accounts payable

It is very important to analyze your accounts payable before you release your data to your accountant to avoid the following problems.

  • Financial information that you add after the release period will not be released to your accountant until the next release.
  • Changes in financial information from already-released periods will be exported to your accountant as notifications, requiring him to make the same adjustments in his accounting data to avoid errors in the accounting documents.

To validate your accounts payable, follow these steps.

  1. Open the Bills screen.
  2. Check the outstanding total amount at the top right of the screen.
  3. If the total amount is greater or less than what you expected, check all the outstanding amounts listed in the Bills screen.

To ensure that the accounts payable balances are accurate, check your financial accounts balances first.
