Set up vouchers

To issue vouchers, you need to set up vouchers to inform your bank so that you can receive payment.

Note: Entering incorrect information in this screen can cause your customer's funds to be deposited into the wrong account, risking the loss of such funds. For this reason, you must verify this information with your Bank Account Manager before issuing your vouchers.

  1. From the company setup menu, choose Financial Accounts.
  2. Click the Set Up Vouchers button.
  3. Mark the Issue Vouchers checkbox.
  4. Enter the required information.

    Note: In the Next Issued Voucher Number field, OnBalance will always show the next voucher number to be issued. This number is always 1 at the time of initial setup. If you are already issuing vouchers from another application, or your bank has asked you to issue vouchers starting from a specific number, enter this number in this field. For example, if you have issued vouchers from a previous application up to the number 287, enter the number 288 in this field.

  5. Click Save.
  6. After setup, insert a fictitious sale into OnBalance, and issue some test vouchers. Print the test vouchers, and then send those vouchers to your Bank Account Manager for validation. This step is extremely important in order to avoid collection problems.
